It's been a couple of weeks since our last session. Won't you let us know how things have been progressing/regressing for you in this time? Any major breakthroughs or attempts? What about students? How have they been responding to the activities going on in your classroom lately?

We watched the first half of "Letter to the President" in Mr. ward's 4th and 5th period class. Mr. Ward and I formulated questions to ask students based on the video, and I took the opportunity to pause the video and pose clarifying questions. Student's opened up to a lively discussion of 'the real' issues affecting their community: drugs, fake rappers, national economic policy, prison industrial complex, etc. So how to we assess the math ability of the students again?
