Blogging

"To educate for the innovation economy, schools must provide students with
opportunities to engage in collaborative knowledge building activities, through
disciplined improvisation." Sawyer, R. Keith (2006):
Educating for Innovation. Thinking Skills and Creativity.

In this session, we'll get familiar with new conversational forms of media, and the empowering tools and technology and skill sets behind it all. In the lecture we’ll explore how blogging, video blogs, podcasts, shared tags/links, and other forms of new media are changing traditional media production, consumption and pedagogical models.

In the hands-on tutorial, we’ll demystify the tools and technology that make these new media forms and formats of conversational media possible. You will sign-up and start your own blog on the digital media social network or blogger.

The last part of the class will be devoted to a discussion about your class project(s).
